In their Seed Series financing round, the Berlin-based company raised €3.85 million. Joining as a co-lead investor is 13books Capital, a renowned FinTech VC from London. Also on board are the esteemed existing investors Merantix and Seed+Speed. With this financing round, Briink is well-positioned to scale sales and further develop the product in the dynamic ESG market.
Who is briink?
Briink is a Berlin-based software company founded in 2021 at the Merantix Accelerator and AI Campus. Utilizing domain-specific AI and LLMs (Large Language Models), Briink supports ESG teams in benchmarking and verifying large volumes of ESG documents through audit trails. This highly precise solution already helps leading corporations, funds, and advisory firms worldwide to achieve a transparent and consistent basis for decision-making.
The founders, Tomas van der Heijden and Samuel King, bring extensive startup experience and combine expertise in data science and law. We see this as the ideal foundation for navigating the complex ESG regulatory landscape and the rapid developments in AI.
