Our portfolio company N-Dream AG / AirConsole has been acquired by KPIT
N-Dream developed cloud-based over-the-air technology to bring mobile gaming to living room TVs and automotive entertainment systems. By 2023, the company offered more than 180 games across a wide range of genres and had reached over 16 million players worldwide through AirConsole, its online video game console—available on approximately 300 million TVs, set-top boxes, and selected PC and Mac devices via a web-based platform.
This growing popularity has led to continued revenue growth and is positioning the company to expand its offerings to the automotive industry further in 2022. These offerings will include games such as UNO Car Party, Pictionary Car Party, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Atari Classics and PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition, all of which will be available to play in cars. Leading automotive brands such as BMW/Mini, Audi, VW and Porsche currently offer in-car gaming experiences powered by AirConsole. The company has also raised more than CHF 10 million from investors.
KPIT first invested in N-Dream in 2023 and 2024, acquiring a 13% minority stake in each funding round. The company further expanded its stake in the startup during 2025. In a recent deal, KPIT Technologies increased its stake in N-Dream by 62.9%, paying EUR 16.35 million for the additional shares. This makes KPIT Technologies a majority shareholder with a total equity stake of 88.9%.
This strategic move aligns with KPIT’s goal of enhancing the offerings of automotive OEMs by integrating the N-Dream platform with KPIT’s software services. The aim is to create new monetisable experiences for automotive clients. This investment is part of KPIT’s plan to help automotive OEMs enhance the driver and passenger experience in the cockpit of the future. KPIT will provide N-Dream’s automotive clients with complementary software integration and validation services. The two companies will collaborate to offer value-added data products to automotive OEMs, enabling them to create additional monetisable experiences and features.
“After joining KPIT Technologies in 2025, AirConsole is entering its next growth phase — expanding our in-car gaming platform to more car brands and regions around the world. We’re continuing to grow our library of hit titles like UNO, PAC-MAN, and Atari classics, while developing new, innovative software experiences designed specifically for cars. Together with KPIT, we’re building the future of in-car entertainment and redefining how people have fun on the move”
Following the acquisition, N-Dream will become a subsidiary of KPIT and retain all its 20 employees, with plans to double the number in the next year. The company will continue to be led by Anthony Cliquot as CEO of N-Dream. Andrin von Rechenberg will continue as Chief of Innovation, and Tobias Schneider will remain CFO.
